Early Accuplacer

We are offering the Accuplacer Placement Exam immediately following Admitted Students Day this Monday, April 6, for students who want to get ahead. Taking it now is an easy way to check an important next step off your list, avoid doing it later, and stay on track for advising and class scheduling.

Why placement matters:
Placement scores help us understand the skills you’re bringing into college so we can place you in courses that match your current level. This ensures you start in classes where you can be successful, avoid registering for courses that may not be the right fit, and stay on the most efficient path toward graduation.

The cost of the exam is $20—for either the English or math exam, or for taking both subjects within the same appointment. This fee will be added to your bill through the Business Office (304‑876‑5284).

Can’t make it on the 6th? More opportunities will be available leading up to summer orientation.

Reminder: Students admitted without standardized test scores—or who have not yet taken college‑level English or Math courses—must take the Accuplacer exam before registering for their first semester of classes so that we can determine appropriate placement.
